Default Max Tire Size

I have a 2005 Ram 1500, 5.7 liter hemi, 4dr 4wd, shortbox. Right now I'm running 245/ 75/ R17's. I am wondering with a 2 - 3 inch levelling kit, what my max tire size would be? can i fit 35s? I want to keep same rim's. I have not been able to find a definite answer. Thanks for the help!

Check on your rear end ratio. The odds are with the 245s, you have a 3.55. With a 35 inch tire, performance and gas mileage will go south. You need need gears.

Please read through the entire sticky. it answers everything you have asked.

Dodge Ram 1500 4wd 2002-2005
stock truck/wheels...you can fit 34's with no issue's(relatively normal width of 275-295)
stock truck/wheels...35's rub at full lock and are really big in fenders for stock height.
2"lift w/stock wheels.......Barely fit 35's with minor rubbing
Either addding 1.25" or 1.5" spacers to stock wheels OR aftermarket wheels w/backspacing 5.5"-4.5" will fit 35's no rubbing.
