Default Any Ideas?????

I have had my 03 Ram 1500 4x4 QC for about 4 years now. I bought it from a dealer, used of course, and am very happy with it. One thing that is driving me crazy is this wire on the pass side near the firewall. I don't know if the previous owner did something or what that is. It just sits there starring at me every time I open the hood. The truck runs fine, and everything seems to work. Any Ideas?????? I attached an image that I hope works.

Does it have an underhood light? If not they possibly had something hooked up there.

It doesn't have an underhood light. I have looked all through wires on the side trying to see if it was cut or something but can't find a thing. I didn't think about the light. Not sure though if the light might have been removed. I'm not even sure exactly where the light mounts. It honestly looks like it is part of factory wiring. I appreciate the feedback.

Hit it with a test light see if it's hot. If it is see if it's constant or ignition switched.

Is it orange?
I have an orange wire coiled up with a factory label that says "PTO". I have not investigated what it is yet.

Sorry for the slow response. Work has kept me busy lately.

I haven't been able to see where exactly it goes. Looks like into the wiring harness that runs along the firewall. I'll have to crawl up in the engine compartment to see if I can trace it any better.
