Etc problems!
I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 hemi and the etc is giving me fits. Im new to the site, as well as the truck, and couldn't find what I was looking for hence my post lol. Every time I turn the truck on the etc (electronic throttle control) and cel lights are on. I cleaned the throttle body (correctly) and reset PCM via battery. The truck doesn't really seem to have a loss of power. However throttle response isn't that great and it won't shift into overdrive! That's my main concern. I would think limp mode just limited it to one gear. Anyways if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

In the manual it just says remove the battery terminal for 2 minutes, then reconnect the battery. Turn the key to the on position but do not start the car. Wait 10 seconds till the lightning bold symbol turns off. That should re-calibrate the throttle body. But I do suggest if you got an aftermarket intake, or just installed one, take it back off and wipe out the inside of all the tubes. I had a problem with some minute debris on the inside of my brand new CAI that made my ETB go haywire until I wiped it out.

Well considering there's no power to the obdII as well as the built in code reader not working, I'm assuming the truck has some electrical problems or damage. Maybe rodent or water? It's not responding to anything I do. The crazy thing is it still drives and shifts into every gear but overdrive.

1. Remove negative battery cable 30-60 seconds
2. Recconect cable.
3. Turn key to on postion (But do not start)
4. Wait 30 seconds for PCM to learn electrical parameters
5. Turn key to off postion then carry as normal.
I confimred this with head mechanic at local stealer.

Finally got my codes read. So here they are
P0300 (random misfire)
P2305 (eradic ignition signal?..)
P0129 (barometric pressure out of range)
P0127 (low coolant temp)
I'm think it's probably the MAF throwing at least 2 of these. Im not real sure though. Just give some feedback and if you have any pointers o these codes I'd love to nip this in the bud.
