Default stock stereo wiring

Hey all,
My search came up empty handed...I've been trying to figure out my lack of stereo quality for a while...I have a sony HU and Polk Audio speakers in all 4 doors and get no bass out of the front doors and all bass and no vocals out of the rear doors....I put the stock unit back in and it sounded normal...front speakers had good bass and rear doors had vocals again...now the stock stereo harnass has two seperate connectors, one is the large connector that powers the speakers/etc...the other is a smaller connector with i think 4 wires to it? the aftermarket wiring harness does not connect to them, I was just wondering if anybody knew what those wires are used for? its a 06 Ram 4 speaker system with factory sat. radio

If you have the infinity stock audio, its the stock amp causing your troubles most likely. You will need an amplifier integration harness.

Sure it's not settings in the aftermarket HU? Not to insult you, but seen it happen before. Do you have another aftermarket HU you could pop in to try?

wish I did have another to try...I sat for hours over the past few weeks trying to figure it out..I had a buddy of mine that does radio installs and things look at it and play around with the settings and he couldn't figure it out either...I'm literally stump on what the cause of it is other than either 1) the unit I got is defective or 2) whatever that harness is it may be the cause of it...and I've been wanted to try to fix this before installing my sub/amp too so I don't have an even more messed up system

I was thinking bad unit. I'm not familiar with the 06 wiring, nor the factory sat radio. Could the 4pin connector be the sat radio connector?

With the locking clip to the top and the connector facing you, top row is "1 - 11" bottom row is "12 - 22"

Could always take the dive, cut the harness and hardwire it all, but I doubt the harness is your issue.
