HELP! Something leaking under truck!
This morning I left to the grocery store and there was nothing in the parking lot at home. I came back and home about an hour later and parked in the driveway and went inside. I came back out to the truck about two hours later and there is are a few spots in the driveway were some dark colored liquid was obviously dripping. I had my oil changed about a month ago(Did it myself for the first time). My shocks have this spiral thing that circles then and I can see where something dripped down it. On the big thing that's on the front axel, something was dripping from it too. Oil level looks fine right now. It LOOKS like oil but the level looks fine. What should I do, is there anything else it could be?
What kind of fluid is in the differential? And what color is it? Sorry for my ignorance... I'm not very mechanically inclined. How much is that going to cost me?

Find a repair center quickly....as these things can turn out very expensive, if left to run their course.
Nip it in the bud quick to save money and possibly, your life too.
As I say....not bashing you but, that's really what you need to do bud.

Thats what I plan to do. I have an ODB II scanner and no codes came up but I still think something is wrong. Something leaked all over the left shock dripped down that "differential" thing. Nothing on the passenger side, just the driver side. Taking it to a trusted mechanic tomorrow morning.
The OBDII probably won't be of any use, at this point because it is primarily for violation codes produced by the onboard computers. The problem you are "I think" asking about is a fairly simple mechanical leak of some sort.
I strongly suggest you consider what Abarmby has suggested, as a LOT of money can be spent needlessly if you don't really KNOW what to look for and where to look for it
If you have a friend that is mechanically inclined, you might start there.

Good idea right there.
Please just don't ignore this and hope it's gone away, as it might be something very easy to fix and cheap but if ignored........= expense and safety issues
