4WD slow to disengage
well, i read about it in the manual link posted and there was mention in there about uneven tire wear possibly being an issue to make it function funny. i just got new cooper discover AT3'S friday, and tonight i will give it a shot and see if that made a difference. will try it after work.
on another note, i had cooper zeon LTZ's and got about 28,000 mile out of them. was actually pretty happy with that. they gripped good, but i like the AT3'S because they are more aggressive tread.

tried 4wd going up the gravel driveway last night. call me crazy but it works right now. right in and right out.
Maybe my tires were worn unevenly, even with rotating them. anyway. it works properly again, after 6 months of not working.

I always follow those directions on my 3rd and 2nd gen rams but make sure I am stopped to avoid having trouble, to disengage if you follow the instructions but put the trans in neutral shift out of 4wd then put the trans in reverse after shifting out of 4wd you will notice it always disengages much better then if you put it back into fwd.
