Default Tailgate Assist

So have have heard of the EZ Lift Bar by Hopkins and the Shock by Dee Zee.
Is there any other Tailgate Assists out there that might be better??

It would be really nice if someone made a replacement hinge with spring assist built in, like the new trucks.

Same here, just it's a pain if you need to take off the tail gate.

I was looking at this one. With my back going in and out, the tail gate is feeling really heavy lately.

I love mine. I accidentally dropped a friend's tailgate recently, having gotten so accustomed to my EZ-Down. The EZ-Lift is very cool, too. Us geezers need all the he'p we can get.

Yeah, that doesn't looked chopped or anything. If a company has to chop a photo and cannot take an actual pic, I'd pass on it.

Looks like you'd have to take your tailgate off, screw the torsion rod into the bottom and then screw it into your bed. Means lining things up and drilling holes in your truck and probably just using self tappers...yikes.

This torsion bar comes with a diagram on a piece of cardboard all you do is line it up at the tailgate and drill the two holes and slip the bent to fit ends in place. no screws at all

What fewmopar said and there's no moving parts to wear out.
I've had my torsion bar ezlift fitted without issue for T least 7 years.
Great piece of kit.

2 of the best things I've bought for the truck. Took about 45min. to install both.
