Famous Hemi Tick....

Famous Hemi Tick....
....everyone who has one knows what I'm talking about! I know that there are probably lots of threads about this, but this is just one from my personal experience. I have always had the tick. I recently switched from the Valvoline MaxLife to Mobil 1 full synthetic and the ticking has 98% gone away. Maybe this will help someone trying to get rid of the tick.....but then again it may not work for everyone.....it sure did for me!!

I have 107,000 miles on my 06 Hemi, and have never had any ticking at all, so undoubtedly not all hemis have the tick. I have run both regular oil and synthetic, and the motor has always sounded the same

As per the designers, a slight tick is natural and normal and occurs to varying degree on ALL modern Hemi engines. Piston ring wear and the use of different lubricants can vary the decibel level, but to some degree, it's always present.
If your engine has NO Hemi tick, it's a rare anomaly...
