So, I was out removing the belt, inspecting it and stuff. Trying to figure out my source of my truck running hot.

When I was around feeling the upper hose, It's squishy.
I went and squeezed the lower hose, it's squishy, but also feels like there is something hard inside the tube, going from the radiator, to the thermostat.

Kind of worried, because I don't know if there is something inside our hoses that help support it? Or is there something in my hose that may be clogging it up?

Also, my truck is warm at he moment. The top radiator hose is pretty hot to the touch, but the bottom one is just barely warm.
The bottom hose feels like it has supports every 3-5 inches.
When you squeeze it you can hear something rattle. Like a spring or something?

Sounds like something is stuck in there. I don't know of any traditional rad hoses that have supports in them. Strange to me.

BTW, you're in the wrong, section, you actually need to be over in the 2nd gen Ram section.

Makes sense. You should change that. lol

Either way, still sounds like something is blocking it.

Same question as asked in DT: When does it run hot?

Stock radiator hoses do have springs inside them. At least on mine it did anyway. I would think it would be the same for 5.7 and 4.7.

Yes the spring is there to keep the hose from collapsing under high pump demand.
