As for clear taillights, you said you would rather put your money into performance mods. So, do the lights improve your acceleration? 1/4 mile time? Towing capability? Does the billet gas cap give you more torque? The crap you've done to your truck is just as useless as the things you condemn.

Its just too funny how some people bitch because someone wants to do something, when in reality, they aren't making the payment on the truck. Then they say they'd rather put performance mods on their truck, and they put ricer lights on it. And the billet gas door is just gay . . . whether the dealer installed it or someone put it on.

You are probably going to reiterate "I put the lights on to distinguish my truck from other Rams." Well, isn't that the same thing this guy wants to do, only on a smaller scale? Yes it is. So, in reality, we could make fun of you for doing the same thing.
Good call, but dont you know Altezza [which in my opinion are probably the worst looking lights ever, dont DONT help to distinguish your truck/car from others, because like everyone around here has them.] add horsepower, and man billit gas door? That's got to add at least 50TQ at the wheels. [sm=roll.gif]

I personally am definetly a person of practicality over looks, I mean, there are some things I give exception too, like rim's, but I dont think I'd start spending crazy ammounts of cash on lights, etc. If you do, that's cool. It's your truck, You should have gotten a 4x2, but you got a 4x4 whatever, good luck in lowering it, hope everything turns out good, take some pics after. As much as I dont like lowered trucks, if you do a good job on it and dont make it look stupid [I saw a ford truck the other day with a giant ricer wing mounted on the toneau cover lol]. All I have to say is good luck, and dont let other people change your mind about doing something if you really want to [unless they are saying not to for safety reasons]

Ok, here's the truck after being lowered. It's now the perfect truck for me. I don't have to climb up into it, it looks absolutely fabulous and anytime it's slippery, I can use the 4wd.

Granted, the guy's question about lowering a 4x4 is dumb. Yeah it is smarter to buy a 4x2 (save the money) and then lower it. I'd agree, but saying "beaners" only lower trucks is kinda funny. I see whites, blacks, Asians and every other race lower crap (which I personally think is stupid, but hey, whatever floats their boats). I think you also mentioned something about where you are from, you would be "shot for lowering a 4x4." I'm just curious, do people also burn their trash outside where you are from? Just curious Because if you think about it, a beaner with a new 4x4 1/2 ton truck, probably has more more money than some backwoods redneck, running around barefoot, eating spam inside his smoke filled double wide.

As for clear taillights, you said you would rather put your money into performance mods. So, do the lights improve your acceleration? 1/4 mile time? Towing capability? Does the billet gas cap give you more torque? The crap you've done to your truck is just as useless as the things you condemn.

First of all I never said that Latinos only lower trucks. I said they invented it, since I was supposedly rice for my lights. And no I didn't add the lights to distinguish mine from others. I have the only Hemi Sport in town and BTW the gas door is standard on the Hemi Sport so it is factory installed.

I do burn outside, leaves and bon fires only. And those backwoods folk you speak of drive Fords, because they are inbred.

I understand how some may disapprove of lowering a 4x4 like I would think it's silly to lift a 4x2, but here's the deal: I live in an area of Canada that gets snow. Not lot's of fluffy snow like milder areas, but the freezing rain and hard packed blowing snow that is common to the prairie regions. I also own Speedworld Indoor Kart track and need to haul fuel for the karts several times a week. I don't have to deal with deep snow but I do have to drive nearly every day in slippery conditions where an awd or 4wd vehicle makes life a lot easier. Also, my previous truck, an extended cab 4x4, was a pain in the butt to park anywhere or even get from my back alley into the garage because of it's huge turning circle. For me and my needs, and as a long time Dodge fan who has owned everything mopar from big block Chargers to a hemi Challenger, a regular cab, short box 4x4 Ram Daytona is perfect. I get lots of positive attention in the truck and get more thumbs from this truck than I do when driving my Porsche, and it's an awesome way to advertise my business. On top of that, the body kit that is installed on the Daytona is not really well suited to the stock ride height, but is perfect for a lowered truck. A cool vehicle is a cool vehicle, if it's a lifted duallie 4x4 or a slammed Cadillac-when done right and done with attention to detail and proportions, the car, truck or whatever is a wonderful thing to see.

how bout an airbag system? lower it for around town then pop it up there when you need to. Firestone makes some bags that are supposed improve the ride quality.
