for the last 2 days my light out indicator in the dash comes on and the bell rings i checked all my lights even the brake lights and not one light is out.what could be the problem cause its driving me nuts with the bell ringing all day thanks.

 

Had the same problem on my dad's 02.

It ended up being the left rear turn signal bulb, finally went out.

 

ok well I guess ill buy some new bulbs just incase.just wondering how many days did the indicator come on before the bulb blew in your dads truck?days or weeks?

 

Oh GAWD.

I was something like 2 or 3 weeks of on and off. It seemed like an eternity. I couldn't figure out what bulb it was, I even pulled the taillights to see what was up and found nothing.

Like I said, the left rear turn signal finally blew. Thank goodness. lol

 

Take a look at your tag lights too. My '02 was doing the same thing and that's what it was. Then a couple of weeks of no lamp out I got it again. This time a tail light. Good for a few days and lamp out again. The bulbs were all good so I replaced the board on the back of one of the lights. No problem since. If the bulbs are good and it persists you should also look at the connecter to the board on the back of the tail lights. Check to see if the seal is good and look for corrosion. If your board is bad, NAPA has them for about $12.00.
Just some more things to think about.

 

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

 

From personal experience and from what others have said seems like its a very sensitive system and can sense when a bulb is about to go out mine kept going off for a month or two before a turn signal bulb finally went out

 

ok well I checked the back up lights they both work so do both lights for the plate..hmmm

 

Sell the lights, buy a HEMI!

 

I got money on a blinker.
