Brakemotive install
Hey everyone. So I ordered the Brakemotive set off ebay and it's here (fast shipping) and I'm gonna do the install when I go home in December (kinda hard to do it in my apartment complex parking lot). I was just wondering for those of you that have these brakes, what do I need for the install tool wise? I know I need some floor jacks since I own none but what else? I'm going to be collecting the tools I need over the next couple months so I want to know head of time what to get. Also any install tips or a write up would be awesome as well. Thanks guys!

Change all 4 rotors and pads in an hour? You are a far far far superior mechanic to me if you can do this in an hour in your driveway, or anywhere for that matter. Those rotors are a pita to get off if they haven't been off recently.
08, I put that set on my truck, straightforward as far as should be the same as any brake set. If you are indeed doing all rotors and pads as I assume, and your rotors haven't been off in a while, this trick worked pretty well for me.
Basically you use a couple bolts in where the pads bolt in and the pressure of that to push the rotors off. My fronts I got off with a couple whacks then I used that trick to get the rears off.
On a side note, I hope you got a good deal, brakemotive gives a discount to members on the forum, like another 10% off, I paid 210 for drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads shipped to my door (all 4). Good luck with the install, you will be fine.

And TRO14 I wouldn't waste my time doing just fronts or rears. Might as well do all 4 especially when there are deals like the Brakemotives
