Any quality motor oil is fine. I personally prefer Mobil 1 5w/30 even though I am waiting to hit 15K miles to switch over. No real reason other than I am broke right now and it makes the math easier for 5K mile change intervals.

I prefer Havoline Synthetic or Castrol Syntech, reason? All oils, synthetics no different, are made to the same specs, those two have some of the better pricing, also I have run both brands for years in dyno oil with absolutely NO problems.

I use the synthetic oil that I get from my BMW dealer that I work for....technically its Castrol Syntec 5-30 and its only $4.95 a quart compared to getting the stuff from the parts store.

Believe it or not Castrol Syntec is not a true synthetic, but a highly refined dino oil, however, it is a good oil. I still prefer Mobil1.

Mobil 1, synthetic, 10w30. My turbo manufactorer recommends it for the turbo and the turbo is fed from the motor.

If its good enough for a turbo spinning at around 100K rpm, its good enough for the motor.

I was watching that Trucks! show on spike TV, and they had some mean a$$ souped up Dodge, they did a dyno test with regular oil,and the royal purple synthetic oil, and they LOVED what it did for thier truck. I think I am going to lean towards that stuff as well....

Wher edo you get Royal Purple and Amsoil and such at? Honestly I haven't been in a NAPA or Autozone in ages, nevermind a Wal-Mart. Can you buy it off the shelf somewhere. Also, the Hemi calls for 5/20, doesn't it? ( I know this is about the 4.9). Do they make it in the 5/20?
