Default Dodge Ram Dasboard Dipping Kits

Looking at adding some carbon fiber to my interior and found these DIY Dip Kits - www.camodipkit.com - has anyone tried doing hydro dipping? Are the results pretty decent?

Welcome to the site. I have a shop that we do all kinds of custom work and some of it is hydrographics.

There are tons of youtube videos out but very few show you everything and behind the scenes stuff. It isnt always as easy as it looks and you need to have some decent info on prep and painting.

I like that sliver brushed looking one just below the woodgrain. How durable is that stuff? You clear right over it?
I ask this because the OEM bezel is wearing where I rest my palm on to change settings on the radio.

Is that stuff UV and/or weather resistant? I plan on regularly pressure washing my dash..haha

That wood looks incredible. Got an example of any burlwood pieces you've done, weed?

Edit - I'm blind and missed your last post.

Dirty, I get that question a lot on how durable it is. I use automotive grade urethane based base costs and 2K primer. No rattle can crap

Prismatic, I do a lot of burns for the calibers and early 3rd Gen Rams. The 06-08 there is no an exact pattern or print available to the consumer as they still use that print in their Mercedes

So, whats the largest item you could handle or be willing to coat?

Also, does the surface have to be super smooth?

Golf cart bodies and frames are real popular around here. Rifles and hand guns. I've done 2nd Gen dash pieces that are about 4-5 feet long. Typically you can look at around 35 - 50 cent a Sq In for most patterns. Carbon fiber usually costs more

I was thinking about having my mirrors, handles, wiper cowl and the black plastic bumper trim done at some point. They are all sun faded and I wanted something different than a standard spray.
