Dodge RAM 2500 2003 Cummins gone crazy
To make a long story short, I had a low fuelrail pressure due to bad injectors so I changed the injectors like this:
1, remove both negative cables from batteries
2, Changed the injectors
3, Put back the negative cables
After half a minute or so the car did go crazy, it started to:
-Flash with the lights
-Turn on the wipers
-Spraying wiper fluid
-The guage cluster did flash with all kinds of lights
Then it stopped and these things are dead:
-Guage cluster
-Lightswitch
-maybe some more that I have not tested.
I have these error codes:
P1652
P0700
P1687
I have checked all the cables I have been touching during injector change and all fuses.
I have been having the car in my garage for three days and since we have winter here in Sweden we currently have around -20C (4F).
This means that the car have been exposed to a lot of moisture when heating up the garage when I have been back from work. (a lot of melting snow).
Could it be that if I just letting it idle with full heating inside the car this problem could go away?

Sounds like the FCM is TOAST... Did you also remove the Positive Cable from the battery after you removed the negative?
If so, did you reconnect the negative terminal first or last? (you should have put it back on LAST)
You may also want to check and make sure that your battery is okay.... might need a load test....
Another possibility is that the underside of the fuse box has corroded (due to all the moisture) and is short circuiting a whole bunch of stuff....
There is a bunch of threads on here about the underside of the fuse box corroding, and how to fix it.
If you search around this sub-forum and the how-to section i'm sure you can find the thread...

Batteries are OK
I did only remove the negative
I was checking the ground points during my lunch break and suddenly everything worked, I had pushed the hazard light button earlier and they started to flash and I got the milage etc in the display. But I could not turn them off or do anything else. Took the negative off and on again and it looked the same again
So I will continue to check the ground points after work.
The FCM, is that the box that is located like behind the left front wheel under the hood?
I think there is a comunication problem between instrument cluster and the FCM, or a ground problem at the FCM.

I seems to have a ground issue at my Front Control Module/Integrated Power Module.
I found out that connection C5-2 and C4-11 is missing the ground but in my service manual I can only find that on gas models these are wired to G107
But on my truck G107 is empty
Where is the other ends of these cables at a diesel?
Or can I test to ground them at the closest ground point?
