Default Starting problem

Ok so since getting this ram on friday it has started up just fine no problems at all. But today i went out side to leave and it wpuldnt startike the battery had drained. So i got it started and drove down to the store then all of a sudden it stopped and shut down. Tried jumping it got it running but as soon as i took the positive cable off it shut off. Now before anyone asks yes i took the battery and the alt off and had them tested they are both good. So what could it be?

If the battery is 3 years or older. I would replace it. Did you have the alternator tested under a load or off the vehicle?

I took it completely off and had oreilly auto parts test the alt and the battery was purchased a year ago. I also read somewhere that the ignition switch may be faulty, and i have issues with my heater core blowing on the floor and barely through anything else. So im gunna try the switch

Rays Ram,

I'm sorry you're having starting issues with your truck. I have had a chance to look into your symptoms further. Based on what you have described, it is possible that the cause may be related to the Wireless Control Module (WCM) or ignition switch. A WCM antenna short can affect the ignition switch voltage.

Speaking with the Service Manager at a Chrysler dealer can be beneficial as they have access to resources allowing for efficient diagnosis.

Take Care,

Never, never, NEVER do that! Fried computers might be tasty, but not worth the menu cost. Could be a bad battery, but it could be the battery temperature sensor.

Never do what? Jump a battery? Or remove the positive jumper cable? And why not? I've never heard that before. How the hell else are you supposed to get your truck started with a dead battery? And I wasn't aware our trucks had battery temperature sensors.

Never pull the positive cable with the engine running. That worked in the good ol' days. These days it's a good way to cook a computer. The battery temp sensor is under the battery box. If it reads out of range (I don't know what the range is), it won't let the motor start (probably won't even turn over).
