Default Which 6.1 valve springs??

I recently had some trouble with my 2004 SLT quad cab 5.7 hemi....
Overheated and then started a horrible ticking and running rough.
Let it cool off and still not running right.
Checked the oil and......... Nice coolant mixture in there.
So...........
It has almost 160,000 on it so I'm gonna pull the motor and do a full rebuild.
Getting a mabbco motors rebuild kit- pistons, rings, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, full gasket kit, timing set, and oil pump. Also gonna get new pushrods, head bolts, and valve stem seals.
While I'm in there I want to switch to the 6.1 exhaust springs.....
I've read about the upgrade but never see where anyone states what year or what they're off of.

I called the dealer here and they acted like they never heard of anyone changing 5.7 Springs out

Also, looking to get my heads ultrasonically cleaned but I'm having a tough time finding a shop that does that...

I'm in Tulsa, OK

Thanks

That's a great site.
But, doesn't answer my question....
I'm not stroking or putting a different cam in so not really wanting to spend $250 just on valve springs.

I need a source for OEM 6.1 exhaust springs and I need to know what year/make/model to order them from...

Thanks

I bought stock 6.1 springs from Hensons a while back.
Someone will chime in their web address on here soon.

I just change the springs out two weeks ago. I bought the 6.1 exhaust springs from airram.com and they were 84$ for 16

You can get OEM springs from all sorts of vendors including your dealer. I bought mine from Henson years ago when I did my first cam swap. They were $65 back then and another $11 for the push rods

Ok. Guess I need to be incredibly specific about what I want to know...... Cause I really don't know what I need.

6.1 exhaust valve springs from.....

What year?
What make?
What model?
2 or 4 wheel drive?
2 door or quad cab?
Automatic or manual?

I know some of these don't apply but I think now someone might have a direct answer.
Because these are the questions the parts places ask me......

Absolutely NONE of that matters. Why? Because neither the part numbers or the engine changed. They are all the same for the 6.1 springs.

Just go to Google and type "hemi 6.1 exhaust valve springs" and you will find plenty

Default Engine kit quality differences

Ok. Since we're on a roll here let's see if I can get an answer to this....

I'm looking at engine rebuild kits and I'm trying to decide between a engine tech kit or a dnj kit. They both have the same parts but I'm wondering if there's a difference in part quality between the two

Anyone have any experience with either of these?

Here's pics of what happened...

No exp with either but your question would be best answered by the vendor who is selling it
