there should be no difference from an 02 to an 03 on the 1500. i would tell you, but it's been awhile since i replaced em on my old truck, so i cant remember for the life of me right now. i wanna say that once u pull the caliper off, i wanna say that the pads slide out but i cant remember for sure.

Go here and download a service manual for your truck. It will answer any and all questions you have about your brakes.

Once you pull the calliper off the breakpads do slide out. I did mine a few months ago.

Once you pull the caliper off, there are the metal clips that hold them in, pull back the clips and slide the brake pads off. I just did brakes all of the way around on my 02 quad cab. Hope this helps.

I am an idiot, I have never done truck brakes before and on my Thunderbird I have only a caliper. I took off the caliper adapter with it. I was not sure if I should have loosen those little bolts on the back because they have little rubber boots on them and did know they were for the caliper themselves. Thanks hosteodoc08 for the link to the manual it is much appreciated. Thank You everyone
