Default What is this sensor

Hey Folks Decided to pop my TB off and give her a good cleaning. When I remove the top hat there is a plug that goes into it and there is some kind of sensor inside of it. What is that sensor and what does it do? 04 Hemi in case your wondering.

Most likely the IAT. Make sure it's properly aligned when you put it back in.

Tells the PCM how much fuel to throw at it. Hope you used non-chlorinated brake cleaner while cleaning it. It's a lot safer on the electronics that are close by. I'm about to do mine.

Senses intake air temperature to assist with fuel mixture control.

Actually, you'd really want to use Throttle body cleaner. Even non-chlorinated brake cleaaner dissolves the protective coating that is on Throttlebody's which is why TB cleaner is recc'd.
