Default transmission fluid

What transmission fluid you use/recommend on a 2007 ram 1500 5.7L V8 Hemi? I've got 71000 on it and have never changed it

I 2004 it was every 30k. You should really check your manual for requirements on preventive maintenance.

60K is the interval. Any brand-name ATF+4 will do. Even Wally-World's Super Tech is pretty good stuff. Change both filters, making sure you get the right flat filter (4x2 vs. 4x4). My drop 'n' drain used seven quarts.

I use the Royal Purple ATF-Max. Last time I changed all 17qrts out with my filters. I've got around 50 qrts of RP engine oil out in the shop. I caught it on sale at $2. I remember paying $8 a bottle for the ATF-Max. The differential oil I've never been able to catch on sale but thankfully you only need 3 qrts ($20ish a bottle)
