Default 04 dodge ram 1500 hard to steer low speeds

Hey all. I'm the new guy lol. I just bought a 2004 dodge ram 1500. Single cab. 2 wheel drive. V6. It has 3 inch body lift. 3 inch leveling kit. Currently on 35s. And at low speeds ya have to almost stand on the steering wheel to turn it. Front end had been redone with new upper and lower ball joints. Checked the wheel bearings and they seem good. No clunking or movement etc. Is this normal? Should I start with the power steering pump? Or would it maybe be more in the front end? Thanks for ur help in advance.

Check the fluid. Check the belt and pulleys.

Check your owners manual but I believe it uses ATF-4.

ATF+4/PS+4. Both are the same. It'll be red in color. You'll see the threads on here regarding 'cherry juice'. Get it from the dealer.

Is this a new development, or did you just put those mods on the truck?

Just a thought. My Durango used to get stiff to steer. I found the steering coupler went dry. After lubricating it was a world of difference.

This is not a new development. Honestly.... I just bought the truck. I was astonished at how hard she was to turn. Should I throw on a bigger pump? Do ya think it might be clogged or could it simply be that they guy just through in the wrong cherry juice?
