Default Replacement radiator recommendations 2005 4.7L

My original radiator has sprung a leak. The local parts store chains sell Murray or Spectra (sp) for under $200. I think they are both Chinese low quality brands. Other than a $550 OEM replacement, are there any decent options out there?

Thanks,
Scott

I've never had issues with parts store radiators. Most come with a lifetime warranty.

I put this brand in my 05' 5.7(different part #) about a year ago and has worked great for me. Got it on amazon shipped for about $60

I was tempted to try an Amazon option, since I already spend a ton of money there, and have Prime. Hell, maybe I'll still try that.

Like I said the one I got is working fine and a piece of cake to install.

is there any way you could have it pressure tested and fixed. fairly cheap. also before installing new or fixed radiator, I would give the system a good back flushing.

Remember that replacement radiators might start to leak again after some years.

Lol. What are you basing that comment on? ANYTHING could start to leak again after "some years". Lol

I ended up hitting Autozone for one of their lifetime warranty radiators. Almost an exact fit. The area on the front of the radiator where the trans cooler slips in to is not the same, so I picked up a couple speed nuts and bolts to deal with that.

Two weeks later, this seems to be a fine replacement. Although, it may spring a leak some years from now.

Now, time to deal with my air conditioner issue.......
