Default No pressure after Oil Pan replacement 05 1500 4.7

2005 Ram 1500 4.7 ltr V-8 2WD.

We did an oil pan replacement and now it has 0 oil pressure at the dash gauge. It just stays on zero, no jumping, just nothing.

No knocking, no noises, no surprises in the pan change, no leftover parts. Google searches all mention knocking problems.

We do not have a mechanical oil pressure tester.

I'm looking for leads on what to check next.

Go to the parts store, and just pick up an el-cheapo mechanical oil pressure gauge. See what that one has to say.

How did the pick-up tube look, and how does it mount on the 4.7? Put it to low, and it won't be able to suck oil......

The pick up looked fine. It's a fixed metal tube with set mounts.
I may have to go to Harbor Freight and get a tester.

I just use a 20 dollar gauge from the parts store.

Picked up a cheap oil pressure gauge, reading was 80.

Put everything back together, dash gauge reads just high of middle now.

I'm guessing it's the sensor/switch or possibly the connector or wires.
