Default 36 gallon fuel tank

According to the vin decoder, my 07 1500 can have either a 24 gallon or a 36 gallon fuel tank. As it turns out, it has the 24. I pull a travel trailer and at 8 mpg, the 24 empties pretty quickly
I have located a 36 gallon tank, but my question is, will the sending unit, filler neck, etc. etc transfer directly to the larger tank, or will I have to replace the entire system?.

Pretty good chance it's a direct swap. Look up part numbers for the fuel pump module, and see if it differentiates between tank sizes......

Yes. You'll need the one end strap for the bigger tank. The extra capacity is added at the front end (towards front of truck). Weedahoe did this swap.

Lonestar,
So everything but the one strap will work on the larger tank?
