Default #7 cylinder misfire

I have an 04 ram 1500 quad cab with the 5.7 hemi. It shut down on me on.my way to work Monday morning. I managed to restart it and limp it on to work, but it will not idle, I have to maintain at least 1000 rpm to keep it running, nd it pops nd shakes. I have tried replacing the spark plugs and swapping the #7 coil with the #4 coil with no change, I still get the p0307 code.
I have read on here about valve springs breaking on the hemi, could this be my problem?

Quite possible, could try a compression test, or, pull the valve cover, and have a look.

Default Broken spring

Ok I can confirm a broken valve spring on cylinder 7.
I am going to put air pressure to the cylinder and replace the springs.
question what psi should i bring the cylinder to before removing the spring?

Sorry I do not have any info on that, I was just wondering how many miles you have on your truck, I have just under 225k and have been thinking about getting all my springs done...

I usually run about 90-100 PSI, to make sure the valve stays in place.

another question for you, since I have a little over 241k miles on this engine, and it has been worked pretty hard, im thinking about rolling in a set of rod and main bearings, and possibly a timing chain.
do you think this is necessary?

If your oil pressure was still good, probably not 'necessary' per se...... but, it sure wouldn't hurt. Could check the bearings with plastigage, see what things look like, and take it from there.
