I have a 06 dodge ram 2500 with a 5" lift and 37" tires and I get an average of 6-7 mpg. I wanted to know if there is any chip or tune that can get me better mpg? Who has tried any chip/ tune that worked?

Thip's (chips) are snake oil. A tuner won't help either. A good tune up and a light right foot will help some. (and gears, as mentioned, but those are expensive)
Assuming you have a gas engine, there isn't much you can do other than a lighter foot. You have a stock 5.7 trying to yank around what is most likely a 6000+lb truck. Shorter gears (higher number ratio) would help mechanical advantage wise with mileage in town, but if you do any appreciable highway driving it'll suck even more.
I don't exactly know what gears I have and my truck has aftermarket headers exhaust and c like air intake
If it's a stock 2500 then most likely 3.73's; go to the equipment listing link on the Dodge site, enter in your VIN, it will generate an instant build sheet of how your truck was built, including what gear ratio and if it has LSD.

Assuming "re hear" means re-gear, yes you can add a locker at that point but it may already have a factory LSD (unless you know for sure it doesn't). Keep in mind, if you have a 4x4 (you didn't specify) if you re-gear you have to change both front AND back.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but if you didn't calibrate your speedometer with your tires, then your mpg isn't gonna be accurate I don't think. I have an 05 2500 5.7, 35" tires 4x4, 4.10s, 5 speed straight drive. My speedometer is off so my truck thinks I'm going 60mph at 2500rpm , when I'm actually doing 65mph at 2500 rpm, but the truck doesn't know that. I'm getting around 13.5 to 14 by what the truck is reading. I can go "almost" 400 miles on about 27 to 28 gallons on a 34 gallon tank. Again this all without correcting the speedometer with the oversize tires, but it may not matter. A bigger tire will drop the RPM from the factory tire.
