Drove my 2005 1500 4x4 to work today
Yeah, so what? lol
Well, it was my daily driver from 2007-2014, when gasoline went to almost $4.00/gal, and driving 130 miles a day was going to bankrupt me. So I bought a Mazda 6 that averaged 39 mpg and the savings in fuel paid for the car. So for almost five years it's been a weekend/dump/hunting truck, and for driving when snow is in the forecast.
Supposed to get 3"-4" of snow today so I drove it to work (Maryland area north of Baltimore to Philly). Farthest I've driven it in quite some time. I did quite a bit of work on it the past year (timing chain, rear end rebuild, front wheel hubs, alternator, AC compressor, harmonic balancer, tensioner and pulleys, tune-up, and added fender flares) and to ne truthful, for being 14 years old and 174K on the odo, it still looks and drives great.
Have to admit, about 17 mpg is a far cry from 39 mpg!

drive my 04 all the time
Been driving my 04 Ram 1500 Hemi 4 x 4 around vegas for 13 years and it still screams like an old race car motor I had years ago; quick, responsive and more reliable than any vehicle I have ever had. I have had everything from mercedes diesels wagon to a 69 GTO Ram air but this daimler/chrysler hemi product they made in 03/04 and I think the 05's too are long-running vehicles. One guy I work with put over 300k on one of these drive trains. I have an SC 3985 with trans tune and gauge to keep an eye on temps and I use RP and filter and she really likes it. I was on Mobil 1 for ten years and it would get rid of a 5/8 quart every 1500 mi. ??? Power stop brakes all the way around airraid with factory box and I decided to keep the y-pipe after even buy two of the exhausts to open her up a bit. Turns out I have some serious torque for leaving it factory. These are the same guys who were designing the fastest production truck ever built; the SRT. I think I did the right thing with keeping my exhaust 100% stock and after all these years it sounds goooooooooooood. Thanks for listening to my bragging. She had to have a Detroit TT installed at about 95k and has about 107k now. I guess I am a low mileage per year too but maintenance and upkeep make them last. Mine is white and the paint still looks very nice. Good paint on these models. Better than Dodge used to be. This was my first ever dodge so I am impressed. I am eye-balling these ecodiesels but am keeping this truck because it is worth having.I get way better fuel consumption with a relative tune and transmission shift point changes to keep rpm's up a little and it is just happy giving about 18-20 on highway with 355's and some 33" LT BFG's at 55psi.

299,000 on my 06 Mega Cab. Original power train. Nothing but one trans fluid change at 220,00, and regular oil changes, non-synthetic. Always regular unleaded, and only on my third set of plugs. Last plug change was at 270k. Now front end components? That’s a different story. I’ve been fighting death wobble since almost new, and have spent thousands on new components every couple of years. Finally, last summer I installed the final solution: New Moog ball joints, Bilstein shocks, new track bar, steering box frame connect, brand new Mopar T-style steering linkage (which is monsterous compared to the stock y-style) , and new Hercules D weight tires. For the first time, I feel safe in this truck at speeds over 60mph. I thank God the power train has been so dependable!

My 2003 was my daily from '07-14. It had head gasket issues from at least 2010 on. I retired it to part time duty in 2014. I rebuilt and installed a new engine late last year so I've been finding reasons to drive it more often.
Over the past two years I've averaged about 3,500 miles per year. I have over 1,200 miles since firing up the new engine on 12/1.
