Default Upper hose very hard in high temperature running

Hello from Belgium.

I got a upper hose near the radiator very hard when engine is hot. Is it normal? Is it not a problem of high pressure in cooling system?

Thanks for your help

Yep, normal. Cooling system will build pressure to 16-18 PSI when engine is fully warmed.

No sensor. Radiator cap regulates pressure. If it isn't blowing coolant out of the overflow tank, it's all good.

All hoses should be pretty hard once the engine is up to temp, they are all part of the same system.

You don’t realize how much pressure 17lbs is. If you tried to hold 15lbs in your mouth, you’d rip your cheeks off of your jaw!
