Default Tow group question

Does the 2006 Ram TRX crew cab with towing group have an integrated break controler?

There generally is a nice connector under the dash to plug in an aftermarket brake controller, keeps you from having to cut up your factory harness. Most brake controller manufacturers have the harness plug.

3rd gens NEVER came with factory brake controllers. There is a spot to connect one, but you have to get your own. You need the blue plug to go here:

and don't just plug and play...check the outputs. I bought a factory connector and the wires were inserted wrong...if I hadn't checked...I would have destroyed my brake controller.

Not true, the 2004 1500 I bought brand new (with tow package) came with one in the glove box. I still have it; used it on my 2000 RAM 2500. But if you don't have one, they are easy to buy aftermarket.

Willing to bet money it wasn't factory supplied nor listed on a build sheet: https://fcacommunity.force.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing
Sounds dealer supplied...factory supplied would have it installed and fully integrated into the electrical system.

Yep, I meant the plug that inserts into the harness. I had to buy the controller.
