I decided to install a remote / push button start on my truck. I am having an issue with it not wanting to crank, I can hear the ignition relay chattering like the signal isnt strong enough to engage the coil on the relay. Battery is good, relay is good, I can still crank the truck with the key no problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

Check the connections for that particular circuit from the smart box that is supposed to control it.

 

As far as what? Voltage output while trying to crank it?

 

Make sure the connections are good. Does the controller send voltage to the relay to trigger it, or provide ground path?
