Default Replaced factory headlight housings crossed beams

Truck is an 06 Ram 1500 Megacab.

Is this normal and I'm not aware of it or is there a known way to fix this?

I replaced the headlight housings with after market stock housings. So they are the same kind that came with the truck just not from Dodge. Also the headlight bulbs are the Philips 9008XVB2 X-tremeVision bulbs. Is it a known issue with these bulbs on our trucks? Also the headlight pattern is a U... This one really threw me off.

I'm wondering if I just got some bum housings but at the same time how do you mess up a factory design you can reference?

Video for headlight beams crossed. This one has me puzzled.

I got the vertical aim really close, what's messing with me now is the horizontal. Apparently there isn't one on this model truck?

I posed this same question on Amazon and got this answer.

A: I have the same problem after headlights replaced. Can adjust up an down.
So apparently it's these housings. :/

Yeah, you never know what you're going to get with aftermarket housings. The U pattern is a function of the reflectors and you won't be able to adjust that out, but you might want to try a different bulb as the bulb length/light throw may make a difference in how they shine out the reflectors. And yes, you are likely only be able to adjust the beam vertically. I wouldn't worry too much about the beam crossing as much as the U pattern, which literally leaves you in the dark... so to speak.

I've got an 03 Dakota with aftermarket Housings and LED bulbs. I had the housing for years with standard bulbs and they were great. I switched to LED bulbs which are flat at the tip, but I can literally rotate them in the socket. My beams cross too (they didnt with the standard bulbs), but they are bright as heck and are a great improvement I can see great at all angles. I got them aimed properly and have never been flashed by other drivers. I've also driven my wife's car at them to test and was not blinded.

There are two screws to adjust the beam if I remember correctly. One is on top and the other one is on the bottom. Typically the aftermarket headlights suck and they almost all have this issue. When I had my truck I ordered a pair of headlights from 1A Auto and they worked perfectly fine. I basically adjusted the beam with my eyes lmao.

I've got the old bulbs from the original housings I thought about using. Will give those a shot.

Unfortunately mine is an 06 so it has the ginormous housings so I only have 1 adjustment screw.

I taking a closer look these aren't lining up correctly and I remembered that I did have to fight them a little to get the inner bolts behind the grill installed. Now that I think about it I know why they're crossing. Either I installed them wrong and didn't notice or their fitment are wrong. Will explore more after work in daylight.

I can tell you that on these cheap Chinese housings, the adjusting screw gears strip or wear out very quickly. I had to pull off my headlights and work the mechanism from the back to adjust. PITA but I don't have to do that too often.

Yup, those screws disintegrate after turning them like 3 times.
