Replaced ignition key cylinder. Immobilizer now on.
Hello everyone,
I replaced my ignition key cylinder after one of the tumblers disintegrated and seized the cylinder.
Unfortunately now the immobilizer is activated. And the truck will not start.
How do I reset the immobilizer and get my truck to start?

"First off, make sure that the primary vehicle battery for your dodge ram 1500 is fully charged, and that the batteries in your key fobs are as well. resetting the anti-theft system on this truck is pretty straight-forward. get into the driver's side seat and close, and then lock all the doors. then, unlock just the driver's side door, and go ahead and place the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position. then turn it back on. do this procedure 3 times. at this point, you should see the immobilizer light stop its rapid blinking, and you'll be able to start your dodge."

"To reset the alarm on the dodge ram 1500 you need to lock all the doors, then unlock the driver side and put the key into the on position. now turn it off and then back on twice and it will reset."

Nope not a chipped key. SKIM should not even be a factor here, which begs the question: why do you think it is?
Did you ever figure out a solution for this? I may have the same issue.
