Default Need Wheel Spacers

2007 Ram 1500 4X4

Please recommend me a good set of 1/2" - 1" wheels spacers.
Not one size fits all but proper fit spacers.
Right now my 285/75/17's only clear the upper Control arms by about 1/4"
I am getting ready to get new tires and want to stay same size or slightly bigger.
Can't afford new wheels with better offset right now.

Not yet.
I tried to install a new set of BFG KO2's, (285/75/17) but they hit the UCA.
I need another 1/2" clearance, 1" would be ok.
Also looking at new rims, but most are 9" with -12 off set, this I believe will put my tires
about 2" outside the fender well, don't really want that much sticking out.
Would not mind if they stuck out about 1"

The 9 inch rims with -12 offset will have approximately 4" backspacing. What size/backspacing are your stock wheels?

9" with -12 offset gives 4.5" back space
My stockers are 8" with +25.4 offset gives 5.5" back space.
So if I calculate correct the a 9" with -12 will put my tires 2" out farther

Erm, not according to my math..... Half of 9 is 4.5, 12mm is approximately a half inch.... so, 4" backspacing.

Real curious how that works..... How can you have a negative offset, yet backspacing is a little over (very little) half the width????? Everything I am reading tells me that can't be right......

Supposedly, Offset is the distance (in mm) of the wheel mounting surface from the wheel centerline. On a 9" wide wheel, the centerline is at 4.5 inches. So if you subtract 12mm (roughly half an inch) from that, how in hades to you get 4.53??????

I have no idea, I was just using the Calc's from their sight and a
couple of others and they all say the same numbers.
The Calcs say centerline on a 9" is 5"

Also ran the Calc on my stock 8" wheels that are marked +25.4 offset and calc says 5.5" back space.
I measured them and back space is 5.5"

Wow, am I confused now.
