I've seen a lot worse, surprisingly enough lmao. It's a bit expensive but nothing crazy from what I can tell.

Get a used Superchips or Diablo for like $150 or so and do it yourself. You can decide of you want to load one of the tunes and it doubles as a code reader. Examples:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...Condition=3000
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Diablosport...temCondition=4
https://www.ebay.com/itm/UNLOCKED-Di...temCondition=4

That last one looks like it will get the job done. Do you think it would be better to get it? I have never messed with tuners. That's why I was looking for shops. The tuners that I saw were being recommended were all over $400. And I believe you have to buy the license for your vehicle which was another $150 I think. Are the ones you linked not requiring a separate license?

No, the license purchase thing is to tune ADDITIONAL vehicles. These tuners are designed to do one vehicle at a time and once the tuning is installed it's married to the vehicle. They're ridiculously easy to use.

I just purchased it. Should be here by Monday. I'll keep the thread updated.

I bought the Diablo Sport just to delete MDS.
However, I kind'a got used to the MDS and have not deleted it.
It definitely changes shift pattern.
Tuner is very easy to use, I have it on Performance 87 tune.
No real performance difference unless I run 91 Octane.
Economy tune is pointless, worse MPG than no tune.
87 Performance tune gets better MPG than Economy tune.
However my MPG still sucks compared to others in my area with the same truck.

If my MPGs improve, that will be a bonus. I hear that alot though. People who remove MDS see a gain in MPGs. I only use it for my 7 mile commute to and from work.

Yep,
I think part of my bad MPG is all week I only drive 1.1 miles to work.
Does not come off choke until one block from work.
If this is all the driving I do, I only get about 6.4 MPG.
Driving to Reno I get just over 13.2, coming home I get just over 18.4 MPG

Where MDS shines is steady highway driving. I have a 392 Charger that has it and it is actually amazing to watch how much more capable with it the larger more powerful engine is. Like any 5.7, it'll pop in at slower speeds, but it will actually shift through gears and accelerated while staying in MDS mode. Could never do that with the 5.7 I have. Almost 500hp and it will not only get better mileage than my 5.7 truck, but if I keep my foot out of it on a trip I can get almost as much mileage (as high as 25mpg hwy) as my 5.7 car with MDS (best I ever got was 27mpg).
