Default No power steering while braking and turning

So while braking and turning in the truck the steering got stiff like no power steering stiff. Soon as I let off the brake it was back to normal. Fluid level is good. Any ideas?

It is a 2007 Ram 1500, 3.7 V6 and I just replaced the pump about a month ago.

Ok, from what I can find, no, it doesn't. It's purely mechanical. There shouldn't be any relationship between steering, and brakes...... unless you have hydraboost, instead of a vacuum booster for brakes?

It makes no sense. This is kinda out there but could it be the brakes need to be changed? Or maybe something like a vapor lock? I took off the cap to check the fluid level put it back on, drove around the block and it was fine. For now anyway.

You may have a brake sticking, which would make the steering hard to turn in one direction.... maybe..... of course, you should also get a pull to one side with that as well...... What engine in there?

Ok, so, gas engine.....

I suspect it was just a fluke then. How many miles on it, and how old is the serpentine belt? Was it making any noise when the steering didn't wanna work?
