Default 60 mph put it 4x4.

So this morning in the dark I slammed my coffee cup down missed cup holder and the angle of the cup through the four wheel drive lever into 4x4high going 60 mph. I heard a small third and then something fell from the shifter area onto the road and started bouncing. It was metal but I looked in the mirror and could not see anything so it had to be pretty small but I heard it clanging. Where do I start?

That was 99.9999999% your shift shaft from the lever to the t-case.

That much lol, and as you can see that b!tch is GONE. You'll need a new one and fresh bushings.

I liked the one a member made with some threaded rod, turnbuckle, and the clevis ends. Never gonna lose that one. Thread on that is around here somewhere.
