Default Temperature gage not getting to halfway

I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 5.7L hemi and my temperature won't get close to halfway. It sits a little above the cold side the whole time I'm driving. The one time it did get to halfway I turned my heater on and it started to go down. I need to know if anyone has a fix for this issue or what I need to do to fix it because I need my heat lol.

So that solved the issue of my temperature gauge not staying at halfway, but not my heater won't blow hot air and I have enough freon in my truck. It might be a Fuze but I don't know.

Or it could also be my ac control panel that's fubar. Because no matter if I put it defrost or my feet it will only blow out of the top vent into my face.

Are your HVAC controls vacuum operated? Or electric?

Look at replacements online, it appears to be electronic.... So, maybe a blown fuse somewhere??
