That was my next question, it’ll drop down to like 20 psi. Once I turn on ignition it will shoot back up to 58. I’ve even had it sit a few days and it would drop to zero but start right up. Could it still be fuel pump even with good pressure when cranking?

If the pressure bleeds down, one cycle of the key may not be enough to completely pressurize the system. When it has sat for a while, (day or so?) cycle the key twice before trying to start, see if it starts better.

I have done that. When it doesn’t start i only crank it a few seconds and then cycle it. Sometimes it takes 4-5 cranks. If I keep cranking it’ll take around 5 seconds to start. It’s been going on for a while I feel like I tried everything. I was avoiding it but I’m at the point of just doing the fuel pump to rule it out.

4 or 5 turns of the key?? If it just needs to roll over a couple extra times, I wouldn't even worry about it.

Haha I’m afraid of it getting worse and getting stuck. But at least it’ll be easier to diagnose 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you running the original fuel pump?

It probably is. Looks original and PO didn’t seem to do much to the truck.

When you changed the plugs last year what brand did you use. These motors are BIG champion fans and not specialty type plugs. single node plugs work best no iridium or anything like that. What is the spark like when it occurs? I wouldn't think fuel pressure or fuel for that matter is the issue. Could be wrong though.

To add on, Copper plugs only on these trucks.

Yep copper champion 570 plugs. I did notice while cranking the throttle body closes completely. Anyone know if that’s normal?
