Default Having Headlight Issues on my 2008 2500 megacab

I recently purchased my first 3rd gen . Swapped out the factory bulbs for LEDs . While the vehicle was off. I turned on the lights to see how bright they were. Once I started the truck. Both headlights started to flicker and then proceed to shut off. Has anyone experienced this issue ? Could it be a ground related problem?

Regular LEDs typically don't have built in resistors, so the truck won't detect the bulbs since they put out a fraction of the usage that the old school halogen bulbs do. The computer in the truck thinks the bulbs are burnt out as a result.

Ok that’s very helpful . I did not know that. My 4th gen I just slapped on LEDs and had no issues . So I was assuming it would be the same . Thanks for the info bud .

I just went with Silverstar Ultra's in the headlights and LED in the fog lights.
