2005 Power Steering High Pressure Hose electrical switch
I have a 2005 Ram 1500 4 x 4 Automatic (5.7 Hemi). I went to replace the high pressure line in my power steering but the part I received does not have a spot for the electrical switch. I ordered it from Rock Auto but did not pay attention to the picture before I ordered it. The hose I received fits but does not have the spot to screw in the electrical switch. Going back through the rock auto site the hoses listed that show a spot for the switch are the hoses if you have hydro boost brakes. I do not have that.
So, is the switch not necessary and not included in replacement parts or do I need to see if I can find one somewhere else that does have the spot to have the switch included?
Thanks for any information on this.

Computer likely is going to want that sensor...... This is the number I come up with: 52113541AF... I don't know what its supposed to look like, but, it shows that line for almost every gas engine.....
The one you posted does have the fitting. When I google the part number it shows it is for a 2002-2003.
When I go to rockauto and search a 2002 to 2003 it shows the part with a fitting too.
About to get VIN and verify everything. Either there are mistakes in parts and years with parts stores or my truck is a different year then I bought it as

So I ran my VIN and looked on the door tag and mine is definitely a 2005 - 1500.
This is weird. The Mopar site says the 52113541AF part is for 2002-2008 but the other sites say it is not the proper one for it. I guess I will just have to order from where I can easily return it and see if it is the right one.

So I always like to follow up a thread where I was seeking a solution by giving the solution in hopes of helping someone else who may run into the same issue.
So ends up through internet research and phone calls that the correct high pressure hose for my truck on the actual Mopar site is; (55366867AA). It says on the site that this part is discontinued and the new part is (55366795af). The discontinued part has the spot to screw in the pressure sensor while the replacement part does not have a place to screw in the sensor. I contacted a local Dodge dealership parts department and spoke with a guy and asked if the pressure switch was no longer needed for this vehicle. He looked it up and confirmed to me there is note in the catalog he goes by that says this sensor was not necessary therefore the replacement hose does not have the screw in for the pressure sensor.
So, that would explain why all the after market hoses that show to be the replacement for my hose do not have a spot for a pressure sensor.
I certainly plan to keep the switch electrical connection in place but I am going to go ahead and use the replacement hose without the sensor and hopefully everything will work as it should.

Will do.
I am concerned, but we will see what happens.
