RE: non-lifted tire size?
There is a member on here with 305/70/17's on a stock ram with stock wheels. From what I've read they amount to about 34" tall and from the pics i've seen of his truck they fit just fine. Problem is there isn't to many companies that make a 305/70. The only ones i've found is maxxis and goodyear if your looking for a mud terrain. The 285's will definatly fit without any problems..

No I dont't have 285's but I have seen them and they fill the wheels wells quite nicely although the 305's are even better. I still have the stock 20" with 275/60's which according to the goodyear website they amount to 33". I think when the time comes to get new tires I'm going to crank the torsion bars and go a size bigger.

You can fit up to a 35x12.5 with only cranking the torsion bars. I had them on mine and never rubbed once.
