After 4 Ram Chargers, a Durango and a Jeep just couldn't break the trend. Besides, tried the 4x2 and got it stuck on a test drive in the mud. Salesman was not a happy camper when I said I warned you, hopped in friends truck who followed an left him. Also changed dealers, figured if he so clueless and was warned before we went and never was able to explain the differences oh well...

Funniest part is the new truck was still sitting in the mud 3 days later

The poll options seem rather limited; anyway...

We got a 2-wheel drive because it does what we need without the added weight and complexity of a 4x4. Also, with the ST, hemi, and 3.92 LSD it's a delight to drive around town when not hauling my wife's race car. It goes considerably better than my bud's otherwise identical 4x4.

4X2 and proud. I am currently into sport trucking and 4x4 just slows you down. To much temptation wit 4x4 to push the envelope and break something. I really do think the next one will be 4x4 because it's going to be Q/C. Can't look or go as fast with Q/C so I will at least be able to off road with it. As far as pulling people out I have no problem, as long as my rear tires are on the plowed road and the strap is long enough. Sidenote: buy a tow strap, then all you need to find is a guy with a truck, not a guy with a truck and a strap when you get stuck. Next ride for me...Powerwagon. Don't need no strap with that.

4x4 and even if you never plan on using it, it's nice to have when you NEED it...

As for "GotHemi" bullcrap, I have a quadcab and it looks nicer than most regular cabs I have seen around here, and it's plenty fast... Will be even faster once turbo'd.

Sorry guys but I love my 4x2. I live in Cali and I don't go to the snow (got stuck in a blizzard) and I am not taking my nice truck four wheeling. I just run around in it and get beer for helping people move. I have no need for a 4x4 and it would send my insurance up. And yes I have a Q/C and its plenty fast, ask the mustang in my rearview mirror. Its not that much more weight but its worth it for me since I like to do road trips with my friends.

Can't vote because 4x2 suits me fine. I pull a boat and I hunt as well. Everywhere I hunt I can get pretty close in my 4x2 and walk on in. In my old truck, I got stuck one time. one time in 8 years is not valid enough for a 4x4. Wouldn't mind the 4x4, but not worth the bad mileage and more money. If I ever win the lottery, then yeah, a 4x4. But in OK we get very little snow and 4x2 has always worked for me

rob<gl> That quad cab may be fast enough for you but it aint as fast as a reg cab. enjoy the turbo until you line up next to a reg cab with a turbo.

And when I see a regular cab stuck in a snowy or muddy ditch, I'll stop, and laugh, and then NOT pull you out.
