Leveling an 06 QC Hemi
i have the same dilema i went to djm suspension yesterday to buy the 2 inch drop shakles but the guy at the counter told me the most i would get would be a bout an inch. that very little get 1 and a half drop so i said f#@$ it. if i raise it then i would want to put bigger tires to cover up the hole but off road tires for my 20 run like 400 each.. what to do[sm=confused06.gif]
i went with ground force shackles...they hav a notch in them that clears the frame...djm doesn't have it and i've heard complaints due to that.. check my pic to the left to give you an idea...
I'm considdering putting the leveling lift on the front. Anybody have any comments on this?? I'll take anything from good idea/bad idea, to wear to buy from and what brand, and also difficulty of installing yourself. i have an 05 4x4. similar topic, but I couldn't justify starting a new thread for this.
thanks
thanks
If you don't want to spend any money... Just crank your torsion bars 5-6 turns to get an extra 1.5-2" lift in the front, then it will be more or less level with the back. I did it to mine, looks great.

In the picture... is the vertical bar just to the left of the shock the torsion bar you're talking about?? And is it one of the ends of this that you're talking about cranking on? (top or bottom?) If that is what you are talking about, did the adjustment effect your ride quality at all?
I was looking at just something simple such as this leveling package off of Ebay:
2" leveling kit
I couldn't find a kit for an 05 1500 4x4 but this particular seller says he has them available, and I've just emailed him about it.

No... If you crawl under the truck, right in the middle, like just before the box of the truck... You'll see a piece of frame hanging down, it'll have 2 big bolts sticking out of it... Then 2 huge bars (torsion bars) lead from there up to the front of the truck... Crank the 2 bolts 5-6 turns, and it'll adjust the torsion bars and lift up the front of the truck...
Try as he might he will never, ever raise an '06 RAM front by cranking on the torsion bars. He can look high and he can look low. He can look forward and he can look back. The torsion bar method will not work on an '06 because for '06 Dodge ditched the torsion bar suspension for a new setup sans torsion bars.
