Holy old thread!!

But yea, mine does it too and it must be a venting issue. Far as I know the fix is to replace the tank and filler kneck.

05 w/34 gallon tank. I have had the truck just over a month and has done it every time I let it click off on its own.

try using the first click on the pump and when it shuts off dont top off the tank. It's not uncommon for it to spit back on full or half at the pump. and with chrysler products topping off the tank when your filling it can dammage the evap system there could be a prob with your fuel controll valve that is part of the tank the lines also ne to be checked for kinks or miss routing there are severl cases on star online that the dealer can refer to
case # k14706440,k35831264,k3610628

'07 with 26gal, consistently spills at a couple of gas stations I frequent that seem to operate at a higher flow than usual. Next time I'll try backing off to the first click when it's almost full... Only the Ram does this, I have 3 other vehicles that don't upchuck.

'07 2500 with 34 gal tank. Just about impossible to fill it without some spilling. If you use the automatic pump setting, the nozzle will kick off then a second later a huge burp of fuel will pour down the side of the truck. Very aggravating!! There must be inadequate venting for these tanks. BTW, my truck has the CA emissions (required in NY) if that matters. Anyhow, it seems like a design flaw to me.

I have the same problem on my 08. I pay attention to how many gallons are going in and when I think it is getting close to full, I change it to the middle click stay instead of full blast and it seems to help.
