Default rear diff oil type and amount

I don't have access to my OM. Can someone type in the weight and amount of rear diff oil for the Chrysler 9.25 (05 Ram 1500)? Got to go get some for the new 4:56's today. Thanks......

75-140 synthetic. Amount is 77oz but fill to 1/4 inch below fill hole on level ground. Recheck oil level after test drive as the axle contains some oil.

If you check the Sunday papers, you can sometimes find an auto parts store that has the Mobil 1 on sale. I didn't find any on sale when I changed mine out and it was like $50 for everything (oil, gasket stuff, etc)

Drew, what's the advantage to 75-90 if you don't tow?

It's usually cheaper, easier to find, and possibly give you better MPG. I just stuck with the factory recommended weight when I changed out my fluid. Personally, I like the heavier fluid. Might possible cut down an gear whine as well. At least that is what Ford did when they were having gear whine in thier IRS SUV's, especially the Explorers.

I just bought fluid for mine, and it cost me $60. The $60 includes 2 quart's for the front and 3 qaurt's for the rear as I added a PML diff. cover to my rear axle that holds 3 quarts. Did I mention I used Royal Purple with includes the Limited slip additive already in the bottle. I thought $60 wasn't too bad.

90 also gives less rolling resistance than 140

but since you tow alot 140 would be the better route.
