Default engine died

i was in my parking garage at work and i was trying to back into a spot. so i had the truck in drive and turnded the wheel to get a better shot at the parking spot before i put it into reverse. And all of a sudden the damn engine died on me. i was like....what a minute this is an automatic and should not have done that. any suggestions why the hemi in my 07 ram would do that????

Maybe having a low idle is part of the culprit.....I know sometimes when I take off.. the truck seems to try and stall....but never gets there.... Other then that.... dunno...

this hasn't happened to me, but i think i have seen a post on this before and it did happen to a guy turning in an intersection.
seeing these posts again make me think it's more than just an annoyance, it's a safety issue.

Happened to me once, doing a U Turn, stalling in the middle of the turn and traffic coming on. Luckily I have had this happen to me before with other trucks and quickly popped it into neutral, started, and took off. Truck only had 1500 miles on it and hasn't done it since so I am not to worried. If it happened every week then I would have a problem.

There was a flash related to stalling (in reverse specifically if I remember right). Have the dealer flash your pcm with the newest files and see if it does the trick.

The same thing happened to me on my 05 ram 1500 hemi. I took it to the dealership and they said there is a new download for the computer. They did the download on my truck and I havent had any problems since. I hope this helps
