Yeah, mine sits high in the back too. It's normal after reading posts on here about guys wanting to level the look and what not. Difficult to tell you what drop to use. I have three different lengths of drop for three different trailers. Just depends. Maybe someone more qualified can put measureing instructions on here for you or point you in the right direction. But, a 2 inch drop one might get you by just fine for most applications.

I have a 2" drop on mine and I have a little 4X6 trailer with 8" wheels that sits level when hooked up to the truck, I thought that the trailer would sit higher in the front but its just fine. I have another small trailer and when its hooked up it sits very high in the front, I guess it all depends on the trailer.

I did alot of research after I bought my travel trailer (should have done it before). The answer to the question really depends on what you are towing and its weight. From what Ive read, the tongue weight should be 10 to 15 percent of the total weight that you are pulling and, the rear end of the truck should squat no more then an inch, and the front end of the truck should not rise any more then an inch. basically keeping everything nice and level. Again, this is generally speaking ... I found that there is a science, for lack of a better word, to this stuff ...

I'll make my first post here worth something. I drive a '03 2wd 4.7L regular cab and I use a 1" rise with a 4500 lb trailer (loaded) and it couldn't sit any better. However, the same trailer applied to a 2500 Chevy requires a 1" drop hitch (or the 1" rise flipped over). In both cases, the trucks don't sag and the trailer is flat. But like sumncguy said, it depends tongue weight and the distance the truck's suspension deflects. You could try to solve it mathematically or just guess and check with different hitch combinations.
