Default Dodge Incentives ! Getting my first RAM 1500 (overdue)

Got this quote from a dealer after inquiring online - and I am so pumped.

2006' RAM 1500 Laramie "H" package, trailer tow group, lower two tone paint, 3.92 axle ratio, anti spin differential, Hemi, power fold away trailer tow mirrors, power sunroof, 34 gallon fuel tank, navigation radio with 6 disc CD/MP3 player, Uconnect hands free communication, 20" chrome clad wheels, & tow hooks .

Check this out: MSRP is $38,965- "Employee Price" price is $33,441- less $3,500-- rebate & less $250-commercial bonus for a figure of $29,691 !!!!!!!

I have a question. do I have to base the deduction of off MSRP? Are these rebate in fact re-inbursed to the dealer? for example, starting @ 500 over invoice THEN taking out EP, Rabate, Commercial Bonus.

I'm running around as if my hair was on fire, haha. I am tempted @ the 29K but the thought of possibly getting it lower is bugging me.

Thanks!

Just something to think about. I just bought a 1500 quad cab big horn package. The only thing I dont have that you listed is two tone, sunroof, 34 gal tank, tow package and no nav. I paid 19,900. Are those other things worth 10k? I just checked the price of the drop hitch at my local dealer and it was 90.00

i think the pricing all depends on where you live. My bighorn QC was 27835. So I'd say that the laramie is a good deal.

fibercus;
without booking one out, that sounds like a great price.
Take it. If you could get one cheaper it wont be much cheaper.

I saw a big horn edition 1500 at another local dealer it looked like a great buy. Does it also have everything in the H & J package? ill check, but I think ithas certain amenities at a discount - but doesn't match the trim of the laramie . Things like the leather, power adjustable pedals, power rear window, heated seats, steering mounted radio controls, etc.

WOW!!!
I just booked one out and all I can say is RUN, don't walk to that dealer, because that's a steal!!
I equipped one just like you described and came up with an MSRP of $42,085.
Dealer invoice is $37,540
EP price is $35,919.

So if I sold this I would get EP price, minus MY discount, minus Rebates, minus Commercial Bonus.

35,919 EP
-1,236 MY Discount
-3,500 Rebate
- 250 Comm. Bonus
----------
30,933

I also got the Bighorn Edition Quad Cab with the Hemi for $19K...the Laramie package does include a lot more but I'm not sure if it's $10K worth. MSRP for my truck with upgraded paint and wheels was $33,600 and I paid $19K, thats a $14k discoung, I'd suggest basing your price on the MSRP minus $14K....IF you wanted to go with the Bighorn edition you could add some of those other features a lot cheaper.

Receiver hitch/wiring-$150 bucks
Tow hooks-$100 bucks
Handheld GPS-$200
Aftermarket CD changer installed-$500 or less.
Sunroof?
Power rear window?
Not much you can do about the larger fuel tank.
Personally I don't like leather in a car.

Dealers are LOADED with these full sized trucks and all those extras really inflate the price. I'd shoot for a lower price definately or just "settle" for the Bighorn for $19K.

Good luck, there are deals to be made by the patient consumer. Tell the dealer you already have a deal "on paper" at another dealership but decided to take some time to think about it and you happened to be driving by this dealership and thought you'd have another look.

Dont waist your time playing little games.
Its not often I promote another dealer, but JUMP ON THIS OFFER!

Yes, most of the things on the Laramie are available on an SLT. Except, heated seats, leather, silver interior, and the front bumper is different.

I used to go the aftermarket route for things, but I always found the OEM installs work best for me. And its all under warranty.

Built a SLT with a close but still less ammenities for MSRP $38,415. Why not go with Laramie trim and get the extras? I understand about the pricing, im going to give it a shot - but I for one hate adding things like that aftermarket.

I figure this time it would make me most happy to go with the top trim.
