Default Just lifting the front 2wd

Hi I have a question I have a 2wd 1500 dodge ram 2003, and I just want to lift the front to level it. I saw like spacers on ebay for 30 bucks, says you just need a spring compressor... Do these work and how exactly do you install them? Thanks

ok guys i went up yesterday to my uncles shop. He sent me to get a spring compressor from his front end specialist and when i arrived he wanted to see the spacer. I showed him and he said theres no way itll work. He said even tho its a 2.5 inch spacer its goin to lift it possibly 4 inches. i thought itd be ncie but when he began to talk about how much strain it will put on the front ball joints and the spring its self, things didnt look so good. I took it to the shop to decide whether to put in on or not and we sat and debated. They felt that compressing the spring 2.5 inches itself would be hard and if the ball joints where under too much stress we would not be able to properly align it. not only that, but if i did hit a substancial bump the ball joint would pop right out of the socket and crashhh. So right now im waiting on my uncle to tlak to his friend at 4 wheel parts and if he gives it the ok, then im going back up monday.

I used a 2.5in spacer on mine. Leveled it out, and looks 100% better. I had to take everything apart ball joints and sway bars, then lower the arm with a jack, take the spring off and then re-install with the spacer in place, on the bottom of spring (thats what it said). My brother is a mechanic and helped me first side took like 40 min second side took about 15. Only paid 20 bucks. Good investment.

I've got a 03 quad cab 2wd that I'd like to level, is the 2.5" needed? I've heard that it only needs 1.5" to level the front out and that I could squeeze 31x10.5xR15 tires underneath all around if I do. Daystar makes a 1.5" or 2" spacer for the front and it says you don't have to get new shocks or anything. Anyone have any luck with any of this? I just want to level the truck and put a little larger tires on, nothing extreme or wild.

yeah, i was looking on ebay at the 2.5" front end level for my '06 quad cab. i mean, i nly want it because it'll look alot better with the level than it does now. and i dont do anything extreme, well, other than driving a bit faster on the freeway and hauling a couple jet skis here and there but nothing beyond that. so is it still recommended to get aftermarket shocks for us? because if it is, i dont think ill do the level because i dont have money right now, unless you guys wanna start donating to the "Level Ante's Truck Fund." any takers? lol. anyone put the lift ont here without afetrmarket shocks? how did it go? does it work? problems?
