Welcome to the wonderful world of Super 40. Believe me, when they break in they will sound 100% better than they do now.

I have the super 40 on my truck. Saw a cut away version when I bought it. There isnt anything in them to break in. They have metal baffles in them. If you want it louder, cut the cats out, if legal where you are. I am in Canada, can get away with lots here, lol. I cut my cats out and it sounds like an old chebby with headers and straight pipe. Almost too loud, unless you like the bark. Take care, keep the rubber side down............................Spanky

Believe me they do get louder as you put more miles on your truck. Mine was quiet when I first got mine done now it sounds perfect.

I've had my exhaust done over from the cats back into 2 Super 40 mufflers and I absolutely love how mine's sound.

i just bought the muffler, and had this local muffler shop cut out the stock muffler and pipe going back (which included the resonator) he installed the super 40 and custom made a 3 inch going back out to make it look stock...(a chrome 4 inch tip is soon to come)...AND I also believe that they do get louder when they get broken in....i had a mustang with 40s and they got louder .....does anyone else agree?
